Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual to fill our part-time communications/secretary position (25 hours/week). The position requires the ability to take initiative, multi-task, work independently, and prioritize work responsibilities to meet weekly deadlines. The position demands excellent grammatical and editing skills, as well as proficient computer skills. Examples of some of the responsibilities include preparing the weekly bulletin, church calendar, and monthly newsletter, serving as the church receptionist, coordinating office volunteers, and answering the multi line telephone system.
The successful candidate will be someone with a positive attitude who has experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Publisher) and is proficient with verbal, written, and email communication.
Hours are expected to be approximately 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The job is not appropriate for telecommuting.
